It’s official, the Dark & Stormy is my favorite new drink for the summer. I tried one a few weeks ago at a bar in Baltimore, and it was delicious! So much better than a boring old rum and coke.
- 2 oz Gosling’s® Black Seal rum
- 8 oz Bermuda ginger beer
I know you probably won’t believe me, but you really have to use Gosling’s Black Seal. No Cap’n Morgan. No Bacardi. No Meyers. Goslings only!
Same goes for the ginger beer. It has to be ginger beer, not ginger ale! Big difference! You really should try to find Bermuda ginger beer like Barritt’s or Regatta, but a Jamaican like Reed’s will work too. Reed’s seems to be easier to find in grocery stores, although my buddy over at McBroom’s Beer Store told me that they have Regatta in stock.
Too bad I’ll probably never be able to find it in a local bar. Cap’n’ and ginger ale just isn’t the same…
