Accidental Epipen injection?
Today, I was caring for a child who is allergic to peanuts. Whenever you take care of his mother reminds me of the location of EpiPen in the case where the child is consuming more and more peanuts. I wanted to be sure how how to use, so when I went to read the instructions on the EpiPen. Without knowing how they worked I removed the lid and accidentally injected into my thumb. There was minimal bleeding, but it is 7 hours later and still very swollen. Epipens additional baby. I called the hospital and said he was not always so extreme that there was loss of blood that would be good. However, my practice is always black and blue and far between. How can I reduce pain and swelling?
Do not worry, the needle is only a slight irritation and trauma associated with the pH of adrenaline, which caused the swelling. This will be painful for about a week but the swelling go down with each passing day. In the past, I was a Rep & Pharm used to show doctors and can not even tell you how many times I accidentally injected with yourself! They hurt and feel like a bruise than a few days, but there is no danger or damage to worry. I am sure you've probably felt the rush of adrenaline injected …. wild feeling eh? Outside heat short, rapid heartbeat, talk a mile a minute, probably with experience of injection, there is nothing that can be. You may place your thumb on the ice or water holding an ice pack on it for 10 min. night to reduce swelling. You can apply a cortisone cream twice a day for 2-3 days. Moreover, if it really hurts, you can buy some cream and apply Lanacaine 4 times per day to reduce pain. Worry Hope this helps, please.don 't go good!
