My dog Rimadyl for arthritis. Can also be Chondrotin glucosamine (Flavocin, Syn-Flex, etc.)?
Rimadyl is a prescription and is proving effective, but like any medicine, I say lose its effectiveness if taken too regular, too long. (As being human to take a painkiller or muscle relaxation over time, become less effective. Therefore, I would like to alternate or supplement to the Rimadyl more natural products. Are there any contraindications against this?
I did it with a dog of my mother. The vet said he was correct not think there was any ill effect, but it was difficult to say. The dog had Cushing's disease and cognitive disorders in dogs and chronic colitis, in addition to his arthritis and it was quite complicated.
